dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research was to understand the changes caused by the adoption of e-business in the large multinational companies that operated in the physical world and began to act in the virtual world, understanding the needs that led to this adoption. Method: multi case study with two companies: a national industry ("A") and another subsidiary of developed country ("B"). Results: motivations: both cited the increase in revenue, but "B" highlighted alignment with global strategy focused on innovation and e-business as a "showcase" to show the innovative facet of the company. Logistic transformation: "A" hired logistics operator, "B" adapted internally developed logistics, benefiting from the knowledge of the matrix.
dc.description.abstractO objetivo dessa pesquisa foi entender as mudanças ocorridas nas grandes indústrias multinacionais que atuavam no mundo físico e que passaram a atuar no mundo virtual, pela adoção de e-business, entendendo as necessidades que levaram a essa adoção. Método: estudo multicaso com duas empresas: uma indústria nacional (“A”) e outra subsidiária de país desenvolvido (“B”). Resultados: motivações: ambas citaram o aumento de receitas, porém “B” destacou o alinhamento com estratégia global focada em inovação e e-business como “vitrine” para mostrar a faceta inovadora da empresa. Transformações logísticas: “A” contratou operador logístico; “B” desenvolveu logística adaptada internamente, beneficiando-se do conhecimento da matriz.
