Introdução de Nova Tecnologia em Micro e Pequenos Clusters: Movelaria Metálica no Brazil

Abstract

This article has as objective to develop and validate a methodology to introduce new technologies to small enterprises groups of economic traditional sector which have difficulties to keep themselves competitive on the market. The model proposes the inductive formation of enterprises group, from same sector or interesting. The method searches for creating a synergic interrelationship, which is based, in cooperative principals to provide the introduction of a new technology in enterprises. The case study broaches the adoption of the Quality Control Information Systems in industry of Ribeirão Preto- São Paulo, Brazil. The results aim that grouping formation is a feasible alternative to adoption of new technologies in micro and small enterprises and to regional developing, since them the locality characteristics be respected. The research demonstrate that traditional economy sectors that use obsolete technology, need a structured planning to provide opportunity for keeping themselves competi- tive on the market. The grouping formation could be inserted in the regional locality developing plan, contribut- ing to the region technology advancement
